Celine has been an outstanding student. Her project has been successful beyond expectations, she was extremely dedicated to it and obviously driven by curiosity and her willing to constantly learn about new things. She was independent and very proactive to tackle any issues she would face. She appeared to be a very smart problem solver all along her thesis. As consequent her bachelor thesis has been excellent in many ways and lead to possible new discoveries in the field of signaling in biofilm-forming bacteria, a topic that is important in the broad research area of host-microbe interactions. I feel very lucky to see Celine developing towards a scientist with high potential and I am very curious about how she will pursue her journey and be successful in her new adventure as she had already secured a own fellowship for her next step. An additional wonderful achievement for a wonderful young female scientist « in the making ».
